A Northwest native from Bellingham, Washington, Leah Yorkston fled to Portland in 2002 to escape the torrential rainfall of the north. Quickly discovering the difference was only 10 inches a year, and reminding her of her hometown, she promptly threw her umbrella into the Willamette and embraced all that Portland had to offer. Having earned a degree in vocal performance from Portland State University, Leah is actively involved in Portland’s music and theater scene, performing jazz and musical theater in local celebrated venues such as CoHo Theater, Broadway Rose Theater, and more. Originally a native of Marlboro, New Jersey, (known only for being the town NEXT to the town that Bruce Springsteen is from), Ross Seligman moved to Portland in 1999 after accidentally discovering this oasis of a city in a nationwide desert of strip malls and sprawl. That would definitely be a bizarre combination in New Jersey but, in Portland, quite ordinary.
